Interfaith

Huntsville, Ontario will be the site of the G8 from June 25-27, 2010. Political leaders will gather at that time to participate in a summit that will deal with many economic and political issues. Prior to that summit, religious leaders from the G8 countries, plus leaders from Africa, Asia and Central/South America, will convene at the University of Winnipeg to continue the interfaith dialogue that began with the G8 summit in 2005. These leaders will present a statement on behalf of the various religious groups urging the political leaders to keep humanitarian concerns in the forefront of their discussions, and to give voice to the most vulnerable populations of the world.
